Its occurred to me that I could choose to not whine about our weather. That would be good. I have friends living in Winnipeg, after all. 🙂
It’s just that last winter was so easy and this winter is so not.
Friday was a blizzard with white-out conditions (but, being hearty souls, we ventured out to opening night of “The 39 Steps.”) Driving home, I remarked that the road conditions reminded me of…well…Winnipeg.
Saturday, we awoke to…
…at the back door and this…
…at the front door and really, a terrible case of Cabin Fever set in hard and heavy. We shovelled and used the snow blower and that was the extent of my interest in being outside.
Until today. I went out to do a little shovelling-tidying-up and realized that amid all my mutterings and self-pitying, the sun had come out and the sky was blue!
Shovel, shovel, shovel and then then MD and I headed to The M.
Turns out the time I’d been out was the only time we had actual sunshine, but no matter, we got our walking legs under us again, and there’s really nothing better, wouldn’t you say?
MD and I shook a hand/paw enroute home, promising to repeat this walk, this week. We sure don’t want to get caught wearing our Winter Weight when spring arrives.
