Cloudy Skies Walk to The M

Hmm…times does fly. Thanks to anyone still hanging around here with me…these feet are still on the move, but not so much these fingers!

MD and I fit in a walk up to The M today, before our predicted four days of rain are to begin. Beautiful displays of wildflowers around every corner. I’ll post pix at the end of this post…I’m having a bit of trouble transitioning to using my Android.

The big decision to be made soon is whether to tackle Ramblers Holidays Wainwright’s Coast to Coast – from the western shore of England to the eastern – next May. I’m sure intrigued with this walk and it’d be fantastic to be on a long distance walk once again. The days are long, though and there’s some tough terrain. I’m keen to hear from any long distance walkers…thoughts? This is an 18-day walk with Day 9 being a free day. I think I can…I think I can….I think I can…

I hasten to add that one of my favourite long-distance walker/bloggers has just opted out of his latest walk on Day 6. Not an encouraging review. However, certainly understandable.

Happy Walking!

About walksandrambles

My love of walking began in 2005, when, travelling with my Girl Scout troop to Switzerland, I joined a group of Norwegians for a day, to walk up Elsignenalp. I wasn't at all sure I could make it, but the guide was kind and through her encouragement, started out. It was an all-day affair for me and I was always the last one, but this didn't matter a bit...I'd found my new love! No photos exist for this...the camera went missing on a train...but I remember toasting myself with a cup of tea from my thermos at the was a day of tough work and pure pleasure. If you walk, you know what I mean!
